ING has identified the Shopping and Retail space as a strategic opportunity to explore the ability for ING to improve the offering towards their consumer clients. ING approached me for the role of "Consumer Lead" in a three-man team, together with an "Initiative Lead" and a "Producer Lead."
Problem fit (May 2018 - July 2018)
12 weeks cut into sprints of two weeks.

Solution Fit (Aug 2018 - Oct 2018)
Through rapid prototyping, customer interviews and online usability tests, we determined the consumer facing front-end, producer onboarding approach and core assets needed for the value proposition: an AI-powered personalised cashback application.
Build phase (Nov 2018 - Oct 2019)
After an extensive build/buy/partner analysis, we determined a key third-party AI-vendor and key hires for building a AI-driven, personalised cashback mechanism, to be implemented into the back-end of the ING application.
Market phase (Jan 2019 - Dec 2020)
As Strategic Lead, we validated global roll-out of the ING-integrated and non-ING application in Belgium, Germany and Romania.
Leading to over 100k downloads in Romania and a fully integrated DealWise app in Germany and Belgium.
Idea
Homigo started as an ING initiative to help homeowners and contractors in their renovation process
Problem
Homeowners lack the knowledge and insight for a big renovation (minimum €10k), as they only do this 1.8x on average per lifetime. Contractors on the other hand don't have oversight over all their projects, whilst lacking the aptitude and willingness to work with new technologies.
Solution
The most easy to use app for contractors to manage all their projects (www.homigo.nl) focussed on the bare necessities for their renovation projects and incremental increases of complexity based on contractor needs.
Market
Launched and scaling through the Netherlands and Belgium, with over 3.000 downloads and around €2k MRR currently.
Idea
FLIP was created as the freelance payslip for APGs construction and freelance professionals.
Problem
In the freelance segment in the Netherlands and more specifically with construction freelancers, the biggest problem they have identified is their taxes and financial management.
Together with a team of 3 people, we interviewed over 26 contractors in five predominant contractor segments.
Solution
We identified three possible solutions and experimented with designs, look and feel together with 10 potential customers (rapid prototyping).
We built the first blockchain-enabled MVP to test with customer (10 from 2 segments).

The 5-man experimenting team for the ING shopping platform is digesting the outcome of a two-week design sprint, interviewing over 40 customers from our defined customer persona's.
Here we are having 3-minute brainstorms with post-its to determine our individual key take-aways.

A one-week crash course for startups to help Caribbean startups challenge and structure their own businesses.
At the end of this week they pitched for funding from angels and government, raising over €50k.
